Frequently Asked Questions
What rights does a consumer have for defective goods in Türkiye?
The consumer may choose to withdraw from the contract, request a price reduction, free repair, or replacement with a non-defective item (Law No. 6502 Art. 11), and may claim damages where conditions are met.
Arbitration committee or court?
Disputes below a monetary threshold set each year must go to the consumer arbitration committee. Above it, a case is filed in the consumer court, generally after mediation.
