Enforcement Law

If enforcement has started against you, or you can’t collect what you’re owed, we help you take the right step before deadlines run out.

A payment order on e-Devlet or at your door. You don’t recognise the debt, the amount is wrong, or you’re worried about your salary being attached.

Deadlines in Turkish enforcement law are very short: 7 days to object in non-judgment enforcement, 5 days for cheques and promissory notes.

In Enforcement Law, we support individuals as debtors and creditors, from objections and complaints to attachment, negative declaratory actions and debt collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much of a salary can be attached in Türkiye?

Except for maintenance claims, generally no more than one quarter of the salary. For maintenance claims this limit does not apply and the enforcement officer sets the rate.

Does objecting to a payment order stop enforcement?

In general non-judgment enforcement, a timely objection stops the proceedings. In enforcement based on negotiable instruments, the objection goes to the enforcement court, which must decide to suspend.
